What an awesome couple!  We loved working with Charlotte & Michael!

We asked Charlotte about some of her favourite moments from the wedding day and about their experience working with D’nM Wedding Films.

Why was video important to you?

Having the video was important to me because I knew it would be an amazing keepsake to have. I knew that there would be a lot of things that I would forget from the day and one of my favourite things was being able to reflect and really take all the small details in whether it be the way my husband said his vows or the floral decor at the ceremony. Plus, I had spent far too much time crying over strangers wedding videos in the lead up to my day, so I definitely could not miss out on having a video of my own wedding to sit down with a box of tissues to watch.

What were your favourite moments from your wedding day?

Getting ready with my best friends, my father walking me down the isle and seeing my husband at the end, getting to celebrate with all of my family and friends who had all travelled to join us, listening to the amazing speeches that friends and family had put together and dancing until home time.

How was your experience working with D’nM Wedding Films?

We had an amazing time working with D’nM Wedding Films. The team were absolutely fantastic, guiding us when needed but also super ninjas at the same time, blending into the crowd seamlessly on the day. Every step of the process from the first meeting to the final production was very easy and straight forward.

Tell us about other suppliers that you loved working with.

Lina Hayes, from Wild at Heart Photography, was our photographer and I cannot speak highly enough of her. She really does do a fabulous job at capturing those amazing real images and puts a great level of thought into every detail.

Our wedding stylist, Alison from Visually Creative, was also amazing. We met once before the wedding and I gave her an idea of what it was I was after and she did a marvellous job! She really knows how to make some stunning arrangements, and I am not the best person when it comes to communicating my ideas, so she did one fantastic job to understand what I was after and make that a reality.

The staff at Eschol Park House were great, really efficient with taking you through the wedding day before hand and the fact that an MC is part of their package is fabulous! Max, who was our MC, was so helpful on the day! He gave us tissues when needed and most importantly told some great jokes before I walked down the isle so I didn’t turn into a walking water feature.

Lesley Kerl was our celebrant. She really is a lovely lady who was so thrilled to be our celebrant on the day. She was also very helpful with providing us with different ceremony ideas.

I got my wedding dress from Fashions by Farina. The day I got my dress I walked in with no appointment and luckily there had been a cancellation so they squeezed me in. Elizabeth was the lady there who helped me pick my dress and she was incredibly helpful!

Why did you choose D’nM?

I chose D’nM wedding films due to their filming style. I was after something that wasn’t over edited and stereotypically corny, but instead more real and a true reflection of the day. After watching lots of the previous work there were particular things that stood out to me, such as the music used, the quality of the footage as well as the voice overs which was one key element that I was after. Price was also something that I took into consideration and I felt that the prices were great for what you got in the packages.

How were the team on your wedding day?

Flawless. Every member of the team was very approachable and easy to chat to. Not only that, there were so many instances where you nearly forgot they were there as they zoomed around getting their shots, just blending into everyone at the wedding. Even some of our guests commented on how amazing the team was on the day.

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding?

Take your time with every decision – there is absolutely no rush or deadline. Research things until your heart is content, compare what’s on offer. It is worth every second of your time.
Treat traditions as guidelines – weddings can be whatever you like these days! You don’t HAVE to have paper invites, wedding cakes and the good old garter toss.

Do what YOU and YOUR PARTNER want! It’s your day, celebrating you and you have every right for it to be exactly how you want it.
Don’t feel like you have to invite everyone. If someone gets annoyed of offended over not being invited and the last time you saw them was 2 years ago, they need a reality check!
ENJOY the day! It goes by too fast to stress!
